Mano a Mano collects usable medical supplies and equipment, which would otherwise be discarded in local landfills, and ships them to Bolivia. Results of this program include reduced maternal and infant mortality in marginalized communities as well as mobility for people living with disabilities. The availability of adequate supplies also makes it possible to retain staff.

Gustavo, (pictured above) with his mother Maira, recently received a free wheelchair. Maira shared that she searched for years to find a wheelchair to fit Gustavo:

“I have been working so hard to find something. This beautiful wheelchair for me is a blessing because my son is going to be more comfortable; this wheelchair is perfect.”
