Roma children (known as Gypsies in Hungary) need help with the most basic necessities—food, fuel, shelter. Your support to the Hungarian Evangelical Fellowship (HEF) provides bread and books for these children including many who are orphaned and homeless. Roma are currently the most persecuted minority in Hungary with rural unemployment rates of up to 80%. HEF provides food, shelter, health services, and education for more than 2,500 Roma children. Your gift will provide a child three meals a day on school days and a book bag to carry school supplies and food. You can also provide food for the weekends, so the students and their families don’t go hungry. Your gift will help these children survive and thrive.
