Help provide care to timber elephants.

Myanmar’s timber elephants are the world’s most efficient form of reduced impact logging. They help move felled timber without the need to pave large roads through the forest. The Nature Conservancy’s forest preservation work includes a comprehensive strategy to help safeguard elephants from poaching for ivory and cross-border trafficking. Unfortunately, elephants that are now unemployed by the timber industry are lacking basic care. The elephants are assigned caretakers to manage their health and well-being throughout their lives; this is truly one of the world’s most remarkable human-animal bonds.
